Does the War in Europe fulfill any Bible prophecy?
Wars, like the War in Ukraine (2022) or with Israel (2023), fulfill a prophecy from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ foretold a prophecy, which have a fulfillment today. War on a Large Scale (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:4).
Jesus foretold: “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another” (The Bible, Matthew 24:7).
The Bible book of Revelation prophesied warfare in our time
The Bible book of Revelation also foretold war on a large scale. In the Bible book of Revelation we can find prophecy for our time in pictures. The prophetic Bible book of Revelation depicts warfare as a rider who is seated on “a fiery -colored horse” and who takes “peace away from the earth”. In Revelation chapter 6 we can read in verse 4: “Another came out, a fiery-colored horse, and it was granted to the one seated on it to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another, and he was given a great sword.”
The military invasion from Russia into the Ukraine in the early morning hours of February 24, 2022 is just one example of fulfilled Bible prophecy about war in our time.
The Bible book of Daniel foretold a rivalry
In the Bible book of Daniel we can read about a rivalry, which has also a fulfillment in our time. In Daniel chapter 11 we find the prophecy. Read Daniel 11:25-45. This prophecy in the Bible book of Daniel speaks about “the King of the North” and “the King of the South”. We can read in Daniel 11:40:
“In the time of the end the king of the south will engage with him in a pushing, and against him the king of the north will storm … and he will enter into the lands and sweep through like a flood.”
The Bible Prophecy in the Bible book of Daniel continues. In part we can read: “(Daniel 11:41-45) “41 He will also enter into the land of the Decoration, and many lands will be made to stumble. But these are the ones that will escape out of his hand: … 42 And he will keep thrusting out his hand against the lands;… 43 And he will rule over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the desirable things…. 44 “But reports out of the east and out of the north will disturb him, and he will go out in a great rage to annihilate and to devote many to destruction. 45 And he will plant his royal tents between the grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration; and he will come all the way to his end, and there will be no helper for him.”
To understand this prophecy in the Bible book of Daniel, we need some insights to understand.

Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant.”
(Daniel 12:9, 10) Then he said: “Go, Daniel, because the words are to be kept secret and sealed up until the time of the end. 10 Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand; but those having insight will understand.

In a Video from Jehovah’s Witnesses (2022 Governing Body Update #2 from Jehovah’s Witnesses), published shortly after the beginning of the Russian war in the Ukraine, Mark Sanderson from the Governing Body from Jehovahs Witnesses, said: “Of course, the world’s attention has been fixed on events in Russia and Ukraine. As Jehovahs people, we are not surprised by such events. We are well aware that Russia and it’s Allies fill the role, described in Daniel chapter 11, as the King of the North. When the governing body first made this identification, at the annual meeting in 2018, we mentioned, that the King of the North had already taken possession of Crimea. When reading Daniel chapter 11, it’s not surprising to see that the King of the North is interested in other territories.
